Creative cyanotype workshop

SONNENDRUCK: Light meets plant

In this workshop we work with sun-sensitive paper. You will create three prints (one A5 and two A6) with grasses, flowers and possibly other flat transparent materials. The motifs are fixed under acrylic glass, exposed to the sun and then developed in water.

The finished prints dry on site. One motif is framed and you take the others home with you as a series, for which there are two folding cards and a picture frame (A5 size). An intensive, graphic process between nature, light and blue.

Important: This workshop only takes place when the sun is bright enough!

Procedure

• Introduction to the cyanotype
• First composition and exposure
• Washing out and drying
• Second and third composition
• Selection and framing
• In addition to your new cyanotype prints with frames and folding cards, you are also welcome to take fresh (wild) flowers and grasses with you

From 7.5.-27.6.26, for two summer months, we will have a pop-up store and workspace with our furniture and design label JUNIJULI in a small store in the seasonal store at Körnerstrasse 46 in Cologne-Ehrenfeld. In the store you can buy our design objects and we invite you to creative workshops with us on two Saturdays!

Our workshops are both a meeting place and a design space. We invite you to be creative in a prepared space, create something of your own and take a piece of nature home with you at the end.

• Small group, maximum 6 people
• Group requests are possible. For fixed groups, more places may be possible by arrangement.
• All materials included, tea or cold drinks on site. During the break you have the opportunity to get a coffee from our neighbors, wonderful coffee roasters on Körnerstraße, in cups that we will give you for this purpose.
• Workshops take place with a minimum of 5 participants. Bookings can be made up to 3 days in advance and can be canceled within 7 days before the day of the course. After that, the participant can provide another person to take their place.
• Only takes place if there is sufficient sunshine. If the weather is not suitable, there will be a refund.
