On the last Friday and Saturday of the month, we show carefully selected films - popular classics as well as exciting new releases. Mad Max

In the future, order has broken down and the police are engaged in wild races with gangs on the highways. After losing his best friend and colleague in a car chase, one of the few upright lawmen named Max decides to quit the force. He moves across the country with his family until they meet the sadistic Toecutter and his gang.

Mel Gibson launched his global career with this film. Director George Miller created a milestone of the end-time film with a low budget and thus founded an entire genre. He still tells movie stories from the Mad Max universe today. We show the nucleus of this worldwide cinema phenomenon.

On January 30, you can look forward to an exciting film talk on the subject of "No Future - The Invention of a Genre" with Prof. Johannes Sievert, genre expert and lecturer in film at the Makro Media University.
