Three exciting acts from the young German music scene come together on May 5 at the MTC Cologne: Leo in the Lioncage, SILK and Emily Otto bring funk, soul, pop and cross-genre sounds together on one stage.

Leo in the Lioncage break down the boundaries between alternative pop, Latin and reggae with their own unique space-Latin sound. The nine-piece band around front woman Leo Vierk inspires with fiery vocals, striking horns and a rousing stage energy. During their current tour through Germany and Europe, they are stopping off in Cologne to present songs from their upcoming album Tender Creatures (2026).

The eight-piece funk and soul band SILK creates a sound between soul, funk and fusion with a precise rhythm section, powerful brass section and charismatic vocals. Virtuoso improvisations, danceable grooves and trombonist Björn Beier's own arrangements turn their concerts into an energetic musical journey.

The evening will be opened by singer, guitarist and songwriter Emily Otto. The young musician combines jazz, funk, pop and indie folk to create a multi-faceted world of sound. With her expressive voice and intense songs, she manages to touch and make you dance at the same time.
