On November 11, 2025, we invite you to a special reading with the writer and essayist Marko Martin. His new book "Freiheitsaufgaben" will be presented - a work that is as personal as it is political and deals with the tense relationship between memory, responsibility and individual freedom.
Marko Martin, who has been considered an uncomfortable observer of authoritarian tendencies worldwide for years, combines biographical reflections with literary and historical forays in "Freiheitsaufgaben". As a contemporary witness who left the GDR dictatorship as a young man, he sheds light on the enduring importance of freedom - especially at a time when it is once again under threat in many places.
