"Memories of a good-for-nothing" - reading, music & discussion with Anatol Regnier
The DKB STIFTUNG für gesellschaftliches Engagement invites you to the Autumn of Reading at Schloss & Gut Liebenberg. From 14 September 2025, visitors can look forward to a literary program that is closely linked to the history of the traditional location.
HOSTED BY ARNO SOMMER, PRESENTER OF THE CULTURAL FORMAT "ROTES SOFA" AT THE HIMMELPFORT MILL
The writer, musician and chronicler Anatol Regnier reads from his autobiographical work "Erinnerungen eines Taugenichts". In it, he paints an atmospheric portrait of his childhood and youth in the post-war period and the Munich art scene of the 1950s. As the grandson of the famous playwright Frank Wedekind and son of the actor and director Charles Regnier and the actress and singer Pamela Wedekind, he encountered influential figures in the German cultural scene at an early age. With a keen sense of irony, melancholy and atmosphere, Regnier tells of family relationships, the hunger for life of young artists and the contradictions of a society on the move. A special highlight: between the reading passages, he also brings music to the stage and sings songs by his grandfather Frank Wedekind - a literary-musical experience that combines past and present.
