Lesung | Helene Hegemann | Berlin in Books

In the organizer's words:

Berlin takes center stage in our reading series "BiB - Berlin in Books". Authors whose writing is closely linked to the city and its people present their works and talk about the links to Berlin in their lives and writing.

Berlin is one of the literary centers of Europe. Libraries, bookshops, stages and publishing houses characterize the city's literary life. Nowhere else in the German-speaking world are there more literary figures.

This is also reflected in their works: the novels about Berlin are as diverse as life itself. So the question arises: is Berlin just a backdrop - or has it long been part of the narrative?

This time with writer and director Helene Hegemann and her novel "Striker".

The series is curated and moderated by the Austrian author and sound artist Elisabeth R. Hager, who has lived and worked in Berlin for twenty years.

Please register by email at Berlin-hub@zlb.de. The number of places is limited.
