Get more out of your closet!

On April 25, 2026, the lower deck of Hamburg Central Library (level 0) will be transformed into a hotspot for sustainable fashion. Under the motto "Libraries of Fashion - Re-read your wardrobe", we invite you to rediscover fashion, swap and get creative yourself.

Instead of buying new things, together we are setting an example for conscious consumption and showing how much potential there already is in your wardrobe. Whether swapping, repairing, embroidering or screen printing - there's something for everyone here.

What you can expect:
- Clothes swap: bring a maximum of 5 well-preserved treasures and find new favorites at the SWAP pole (for children and adults, no underwear)
- Repair station: Learn how to repair your clothes and wear them for longer (from 13 years)
- Screen printing & embroidery workshop: Get creative and give your textiles a customized upgrade (embroidery workshop for ages 16 and up)
- Info Points: Discover exhibitions and themed stations from Fashion Revolution, Cradle to Cradle NGO and the Clean Clothes Campaign Hamburg as well as our film and book corner - with inspiring insights and information about fashion, consumption and circular thinking. (which encourage reflection and questioning and thus create awareness)
- Fashion Quiz: Test your knowledge about the fashion industry and sustainability
