FEMALE MAKER CLUB:circular futures

In the organizer's words:

Meet up for women who develop circular products and circular business models

After launching the FEMALE MAKER CHALLENGE:circular futures 2025 for the first time, we now want to offer a regular format for female makers and aspiring and existing female founders in the field of circular everyday products and circular business models. You are passionate about physical everyday products and circular business models that achieve more - that have an ecological, social or economic impact. The focus is on circular product design: durable materials, repairable products, recyclable concepts such as sustainable furniture, reusable packaging, upcycling products, smart household helpers, resource-saving mobility solutions or innovative textiles.

Then you've come to the right place! Our aim is to make female makers from all walks of life visible, to support them with know-how and to network with each other.

From 3-5 pm, the MakerLab with its machines is a safe space for women who want to use the lab's machines free of charge, with or without guidance. We will start at 5 pm with a keynote speech followed by a round of discussions.

You can book in for both rounds or just one of them

Schedule:

15.00-17.00h Making on the machines in the MakerLab of your choice

17.00-18.30h Impulse lecture and exchange round

This time Mariana Yzusqui Burkard will introduce us to her passion for circular design. Mariana is an EcoDesigner and Project Lead at Indeed-Innovation.com. With a systemic approach, she develops products, services and ecosystems that close loops and combine ecological and economic sustainability. She considers the entire life cycle of products, involves relevant stakeholders and ensures that design decisions have a measurable impact along the entire value chain. she studied product design at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd and has been working at Indeed Innovation for eight years, six of which she spent specializing in circular design. For Mariana, good design is precise, functional and at the same time emotionally convincing. For her, circular solutions are successful when they work from both the user's and the company's perspective, and she is particularly interested in topics such as women's health and social design in addition to circular design. She sees great potential in these areas to initiate change and make a positive contribution to society and the economy.

- this is going to be exciting!

We look forward to seeing you!
