In her new program, she balances chanson, show, comedy and cabaret in a self-deprecating, quirky and wonderfully musical way, changing her roles as quickly as her costumes. One minute she's singing about the rampant obsession with beauty in the high-feathered guise of a glamorous chorus girl, the next she's reporting on the chaos at school as a pedagogical newcomer hired straight from the sidewalk and playing the whole class herself. As an insolvent pub landlady with a heart, she takes a clear political stance and presents a wonderfully wicked parody of the snivelling of wealth-starved young professionals to the sounds of Spanish flamenco. While the audience wipes the tears of laughter from their eyes, she dances a stylish Charleston.
