With the opening of the exhibition On Water - WasserWissen in Berlin in October, the Logoscope finally continues: poets will once again explore the science exhibition in the Humboldt Labor every month in a new setting.
This time: the slam poets Ruth Fuentes and Bas Böttcher. Together, they will comment on the exhibition "On Water" with live texts. Visitors are also invited to accompany them on their eloquent tour of the new exhibition.

Ruth Fuentes was born in Kaiserslautern in 1995. She completed her traineeship at the taz Panter Foundation until January 2023. She previously studied mathematics in Madrid and Heidelberg, where she wrote for student and regional newspapers and gained her first journalistic experience. Since 2022, she has alternated with Aron Boks in writing the taz. FUTURZWEI column "Voice of my generation".
Her articles cover a wide range of topics - from nightlife and ski jumping to questions about society and the hydrogen bomb. In addition to her work as an author and journalist, she also appears as a presenter: she organizes events for the taz Panter Foundation and was also involved in the taz lab 2023. In this way, she combines journalistic work with public presence and contributes to current social debates in various ways.
Bas Böttcher is one of the co-founders of the German-language spoken word scene. He studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and has lived in Berlin since 2000. His texts are considered exemplary for contemporary stage poetry. They appear in school textbooks (Schroedel, Cornelsen, Klett) and important collections of German poetry (Der Neue Conrady, Lyrikstimmen etc.) He has also published three volumes of poetry with Voland & Quist, Dies ist kein Konzert, Neonomade and Vorübergehende Schönheit. Bas Böttcher has performed at venues including the Elbphilharmonie concert hall and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (Paris) as well as at book fairs in Beijing, Guadalajara, Moscow, São Paulo and Bangkok.Bas Böttcher is the inventor and programmer of various media formats for poetry. He developed the electronic hypertext Looppool as a new form of expression on the Internet. He has taught at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, the German Literature Archive in Marbach, the Kulturakademie Baden-Württemberg, the University of the Arts in Berlin and at Goethe Institutes worldwide.
