On Saturday, July 25, 2026, LOISACH MARCI (Marcel Engler) will play a Schwaneninsel summer open-air concert on the terrace behind the Kulturhaus Schwanen in Waiblingen: Start 8 pm (admission 7 pm). Under the heading "Alphorntechno", alpine breath meets bass and machines - an evening between dance floor, mountain edge and pop moment, in which tradition is not preserved but rewired.

When folk music was first stirred up by rock and pop around 25 years ago, many a traditionalist's yodel got stuck in their throat, the dairymaid's eyes got wet and the Alpine homeland seemed to be in grave cultural danger. However, the birth of "alpine rock", initiated by Hubert von Goisern, soon turned out to be the exact opposite of folk culture naysayers. For a whole generation of young musicians, this was the first time that a hopeful musical platform for identification emerged, from which it seemed possible to escape the fundamentalist stink without having to leave one's home turf. With his alpine art, Marcel Engler a.k.a. Loisach Marci is undoubtedly treading a completely unique and new musical path away from canned music. For him, it is more than art, it is a way of life. A unique sound, in the truest, double and very best sense of the word UNERHÖRT.

"Doing something great with musical tradition, but not ruining it" is how the Partenkirchen native describes his ambitions between alphorn, electro sound and 14 self-played instruments, which are used selectively and alternately. Catchy, rhythmic sound experiments on a broad bass base. It can't really be pinned down, it's all too multi-faceted, too soft, too wild and too cheeky, and he likes to rummage extensively in all available genres.

Important for the open air: there is no admission control, but tickets must be purchased at your own risk. Tickets (€15/20/25) are available in advance or at the Box Office.
