A website for an author who doesn't even exist, a choose-your-own-adventure hotline, and several albums whose lyrics deal with fictional adventures of equally fictional characters that are all interlinked - Lord Huron are true masters of storytelling. With their unique blend of folky indie music and a multimedia approach, they create a digital treasure hunt for all adventure seekers. This extraordinary project was the brainchild of Ben Schneider, who grew up in Michigan and often visited Lake Huron during his childhood - a source of inspiration that is still reflected in the band's name and music today. After studying art and brief stays in France and New York, Schneider moved to Los Angeles in 2005 to work as an artist.

During a vacation home in 2010, he recorded three songs that were later released as the debut EP "Into the Sun". The second EP "Mighty" followed shortly afterwards, and Lord Huron received increasing attention in the modern folk rock scene. In order to play the first concerts, Schneider put together a band - and recruited his childhood friends Mark Barry (percussion), Miguel Briseño (bass) and Tom Renaud (guitar). They had already made music together as 12-year-olds - a bond that can still be felt today.

The debut album "Lonesome Dreams" was released in 2012, allowing fans to delve even deeper into the interwoven story world of Lord Huron: The band created the character of a fictional author whose alleged works form the basis of their songs. These tales are carried by a musical mixture of country, western and folk elements that create an unmistakable, nostalgic atmosphere. The follow-up "Strange Trails" was released in 2015 - and the single "The Night We Met" became a real megahit, not least due to its use in the successful series "13 Reasons Why", which is still one of the 40 most streamed songs of all time. With their third album "Vide Noir", they built on their previous successes and made it into the top 5 of the US album charts. The album "Long Lost", released in 2021, continues the musical and narrative thread by revisiting old characters and adding new ones.

In addition to their albums, Lord Huron also established a reputation early on as an outstanding live band. They have already proven this at major festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and the Newport Folk Festival. Fans are also immersed in their world at their own concerts, where every detail reinforces the pull of this unique music. Lord Huron will return to the stage in fall 2025, making two stops in Germany along the way - if you want to experience this magic live, you should secure your tickets quickly!
