OPENING I 17.10.2025 I FROM 5.00 PM
WELCOME I 7.00 PM
Inspired in an intuitive and visceral way by weeds, Louder, Taller, Uglier, Weirder - Learning from Weeds / Von Unkraut lernen is a curatorial project composed of events that we call sprouts and exhibitions that unfold with different, perhaps irregular, rhythms.
The project will run for almost a year and will take place in various local galleries and exhibition spaces throughout the city. It began at Xanadu in Neukölln, and the first exhibition will open on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien.
From this initial moment, many more sprouts will appear across the city, along with three more exhibitions at Galerie im Turm in Friedrichshain, Bärenzwinger in Mitte and Galerie im Körnerpark in Neukölln.
We start with a direction to follow and the curiosity to discover what grows next: how and where will the weeds that give life to this project take root? Sometimes they remain close to the plant world, at other times they extend far beyond it-turning weeds into a shared spirit that resists taming.
A project at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, curated by Anaïs Senli, Lorena Juan, Sonia Fernández Pan & Sylvia Sadzinski.

Louder, Taller, Uglier, Weirder - Learning from Weeds is a curatorial project that is intuitively and directly inspired by weeds. It includes events that we call "Sprouts" and exhibitions that take place in different, sometimes irregular rhythms.
The project spans almost a year, in various local galleries and project spaces around the city. It began at Xanadu in
Neukölln and now the first exhibition will open at Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien on Friday, 17.10.2025. From this starting point, many other shoots will sprout throughout the city, accompanied by three further exhibitions at Galerie im Turm, Bärenzwinger and Galerie im Körnerpark.
We are starting in a direction we want to follow and are curious to see what will grow next: how and where the weed that breathes life into this project will take root. Sometimes it remains connected to the plant world, sometimes it goes beyond it - and transforms into the shared spirit of realities that cannot be tamed.
