lunch & listen – Für den Kiez, für Begegnung, gegen Einsamkeit

In the organizer's words:

Lunch & Listen is a new series in Friedrichshain that brings people together to eat, listen and discover. Once a month, a space is created for anyone who wants to spend a Saturday not alone, but in good company, with music in their ears and something tasty on their plate.

Young and old sit at the same table, mothers with their children alongside couples, singles or friends from the neighborhood. What unites us is the joy of live music, an interest in each other and the need to treat ourselves to something good at the weekend.

The kitchen serves finely composed dishes with a pan-African twist, while up-and-coming Berlin artists bring a wide variety of sounds to the stage: Soul, jazz, modern Afro sounds - music that moves and touches.

Who is playing? Mona Rowey and Pensif. With a mixture of immersive sounds, a touch of psychedelia and echoes of Brazilian vintage pop, they take the audience into a world in which two different voices meet and merge into one.
