MAD MONKEY ROOM: DOPPEL SOLO

In the organizer's words:

Josef and Abbas play a double solo show in the Mad Monkey Room. The Grinspun-Alwakeel duo is half Hamburg, half Berlin, fully silly and fully authentic.

Abbas Alwakeel...

...gained his first stage experience during his studies as a poet and actor in the university theater in Iraq. In 2015 he moved to Germany to study. In 2022 he discovered his passion for stand-up comedy. Today, Abbas commutes between Hamburg and Berlin and is a regular part of both comedy scenes. He performs full-time as a comedian and presenter.

Josef Grinspun...

...has been on stage since 2021 to make people laugh.

Funny things happen to Josef all the time in his everyday life that simply won't let him go and which he brings to the stage with his own twist and a pinch of self-irony.

His silly nature has already earned him the Golden Ticket in the Quatsch Comedy Newcomer Competition - HotShot, openings for Fabi Rommel and allows him regular appearances in many established clubs in the country such as: Mad Monkey Room, Quatsch Comedy Club, Downstairs Comedy Club, and ComedyFlash. He also hosts his own weekly open mic in Berlin and various mix-show formats such as Chaos Comedy Club throughout Germany.
