MAIORANO - Record Release Show

The new album "Café Dreams" by the band MAIORANO will be released on September 19th - on October 25th the album release concert will take place at CLASH in Berlin!

MAIORANO offer a unique mix of earthy, groovy and melancholic-dreamy pop music, enriched with elements of soul & funk. The band is led by Italian-born singer and guitarist Alex Maiorano and accompanied by his longtime friends Alessio D'Alessandro on drums and Nicola Battistelli on saxophone and keyboards. The line-up is completed by Argentinian bassist Mauro Martinez, who adds an unmistakable dose of groove and funk to the band's sound.

The music is carried by Alex's casual, warm vocals, underpinned by the tight rhythm section and powerful saxophone solos. The members of MAIORANO live in Berlin, but spent their formative years in small Italian towns, where they started making music at a young, rebellious age. When they moved to Berlin, they consistently pursued their musical ambitions and quickly connected with the local music scene.

Their second album "Luna Nova" (2022) marked the beginning of a new sound, influenced by the isolation of the lockdown period. The name comes from an old Italian song that celebrates the new moon - with Alex devoting himself to deeper themes in his lyrics and bringing Italian influences even more to the fore. Their energetic, groovy live performances have earned them support slots for bands such as Say She She, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, The Murlocs, Detroit Cobras, The Temples and others. After "Rosa", "Swim Alone" is now the second foretaste of the upcoming new album, which will be released in September.
