In photographs and texts, the artists make the erased Jewish history of Thessaloniki visible - between memory, loss and the traces of German occupation.
The largest Jewish community in the Balkans was almost completely wiped out by the German occupying forces during the Second World War. The artists followed the traces in the northern Greek city and use photography and text to explore the possibilities of remembrance. Only a few people can make the stone fragments of the formerly multi-ethnic city, where religions had lived together for centuries, speak.
