An evening that sparks: When the internationally acclaimed piano virtuoso and Grammy winner Marian Petrescu takes to the stage together with bassist Joel Locher and drummer Felix Schrack, the result is a trio that unites classical elegance, eruptive energy and timeless jazz aesthetics in a unique way. Petrescu's masterful technique and unmistakable sound are reminiscent of the great Oscar Peterson - and yet this is far more than just a tribute. TRIOLOGY brings the tradition of virtuoso jazz piano art into the present, interweaving the spirit of Peterson with modern influences such as Pat Metheny and also presenting Petrescu's own compositions.
