Maschineller – Live!

Sound has many voices - Maschineller lends a new sound to the cinematic. Like a puzzle, an acoustic-visual landscape unfolds: the transitions are fluid, sound and image in dialog.

Maschineller's music is a free play between jazz and third stream, interspersed with cinematic quotations. Live, it becomes a sound collage for moving images. This audiovisual interplay tells of musical and visual compositions that the musicians themselves also create on film.

Thomas B. has been on the road in post-punk, rock'n'roll and alternative rock projects since 1981. These include: "Blood on the Honky-Tonk-Floor" (country-soul beat) in the mid-1990s, "Déjà-vu", "Four-Star Five" and "Pharaos" (experimental); since 2017 with Kolja "Maschineller" (jazz, blues, film music ...). Kolja N. - writer and musician around Druckerei Keule - has been active in the independent music scene since the mid-1980s with Boheme von Kreuzberg. In the 1990s with "Jottwede", "Hagemeisters Paraphonics", "Déjà-vu". Michi S., child of the 1990s, bassist with "desire", from funk to free in various places and has been a member of "Maschineller" since 2022.

The band name itself, from acronym to compositional design, captures the effective collage - the diverse voices of Maschineller: m elodious painterly - a tonal allegorical - s oft standard - c harmant chaotic - h eilig heavenly - i ndustrie intellectual - n oir nonconformist - e rdig sublime - l ässig detached - l aut slow - e isig enameled - r asant calm.

The concert at the Eschschloraque will be accompanied by a film and visuals.
