20 years as frontwoman of the French band Nouvelle Vague and a successful career as a solo artist: Mélanie Pain announces four exclusive German shows to coincide with the release of her fourth album "How and Why"!

On her fourth album, Mélanie Pain mixes pop and intimate poetry. At the same time, she returns to her roots: "I wanted to reconnect with my first loves: bare folk, clear melodies, with just guitar and voice to guide me." Mélanie Pain wrote and produced the album herself - she received support from Brian Lopez (Calexico), among others, with whom she can be heard on "Cold Hands". "How and Why" was recorded live and in songwriting exile: a cabin in the woods near Bordeaux. This gives the album an immediate intimacy.

It is precisely this intimacy that Mélanie Pain will be bringing to Germany in February 2026: with "How and Why" and her four German shows, Mélanie Pain will be showcasing the full range of her artistic creativity.
