Discover portraits as well as mystical and everyday scenes that carry the soul of their creation process within them. Albrecht Tiedemann takes us back to the connection between the raw material of wood, the precise woodcut and a fine artistic vision.

At the heart of his work is the intense physical process: far from mechanical presses, all his works are created exclusively through consciously guided hand abrasion. This technique makes each print an exclusive one-off in a small edition.
Why each work is unique:

Pointillist aesthetics: thanks to a special mixture of colors, solid surfaces dissolve into countless spots of color, dots and lines during the printing process.

Individual structures: Each print reacts differently to the manual process - nuanced textures are created that cannot be reproduced mechanically.

Unique expression: The interplay of the natural wood grain with the varying application of color makes each sheet unmistakably unique.
