Mombojó Celebrates Over Two Decades of Innovation with New Tour and Tribute Album.
Celebrated for their unique fusion of Brazilian rhythms, indie rock, and experimental pop, Mombojó has been a cornerstone of Brazil's alternative music scene since their formation in Recife in 2001. With critically acclaimed albums like nadadenovo and Homem Espuma, and collaborations with international icons like Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab), the band continues to push creative boundaries.
Their latest release, Carne de Caju (2024), is a vibrant tribute to legendary Brazilian artist Alceu Valença and marks the start of a nationwide tour across more than 30 cities. Looking ahead to 2025, Mombojó will launch a commemorative tour for the vinyl reissues of nadadenovo and Alexandre.
With over two decades of innovation, awards, and unforgettable live performances, Mombojó remains one of Brazil's most vital and visionary bands.
