MUSA DAGH

With Musa Dagh, a new, massively noisy formation of high-profile experts crashed into the German alternative rock world at the end of 2021: Aydo Abay (ex-Blackmail, Abay) on vocals, Aren Emirze (Harmful, Emirsian) on guitar and Thomas Götz (Beatsteaks) on drums. Produced by Moses Schneider, a debut album was created in Götz's home studio which, according to the media, was "clearly one of the exciting surprises of the alternative sector" (laut.de). "Playfulness and compositional unpredictability" (musikreviews) met a "wonderful noise rock album like from the nineties" (Ox). In short: a loud, feverish, musically demanding hussar ride by three experienced musicians.

The debut was followed by the second album "No Future" in 2022, for which Sascha Madsen took over the drummer's chair. The transition was harmonious and brought fresh energy to the band. Together with producer Moses Schneider, a dense, powerful work was created at Clouds Hill Studios, which finally established the band: 34th place in the official German charts, album of the month and subscription title of Visions magazine.

In the time that followed, Musa Dagh continued to develop - both musically and in terms of personnel. The band reformed: Safi took over vocals and bass, Martin Kessler became the new drummer and Aren remained on guitar. This line-up immediately unleashed a new creative force: short, impulsive rehearsal sessions, direct exchanges, intuitive brainstorming. A clearly noticeable reorientation with a lot of power, focus and joy of playing.

This current formation marks a new era for Musa Dagh - more intense, more energetic and more determined than ever. The new album will be released at the end of May 2026.
