Musethica-Konzerte mit Bläserquintett: Eintritt frei

In the organizer's words:

In cooperation with the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, the next Musethica concert week will take place from May 16 to 23. During this week, five young music students from the Berlin university will be taught and accompanied by Diethelm Jonas, oboist and professor of wind chamber music at the Lübeck University of Music.

The young musicians:

Thomas Höniger, bassoon

The Musethica session is a great learning opportunity for the music students. Over five days, they perform up to three concerts a day, usually far away from classical concert halls and in front of audiences that for the most part have little or no contact with classical music. The concerts take place in places such as the Berlin juvenile detention center, a facility for people with disabilities and a social therapy shelter for homeless people.

The primary aim of the training method is to strengthen the performance practice of the music students. The audience discussions, which are an integral part of the Musethica concerts, often open up new perspectives for the musicians, both on individual works and on their role as professional musicians.

We cordially invite all interested parties to our public concerts. Admission to the Musethica concerts is free of charge.
