The NDR 2 Plaza Festival 2026 kicks off with a spectacular international line-up: Germany's top star Peter Maffay will be the headliner on Friday, May 29. Swedish pop duo Roxette will be celebrating a comeback with new singer Lena Philipsson alongside Per Gessle. Berlin country rock'n'rollers The BossHoss, the British boy band Phänomen Blue and Germany's pop institution ClockClock will also be performing at the EXPO grounds in Hanover.

Peter Maffay has said goodbye to long and extensive tours in the big arenas. Germany's superstar now only plays selected shows and on special occasions. These include the NDR 2 Plaza Festival in Hanover in summer 2026, where he will be the headliner. Peter Maffay and his band were already on tour this year under the motto "Love Places". They will now continue this series in summer 2026 at "Herzensorten". "Unforgettable summer evenings, enthusiastic fans and places full of rock'n'roll - the Love Places concerts moved you and us deeply. The closeness, the special atmosphere, the many intense encounters: All of that still resonates with us," the artist says emotionally.

With over 80 million records sold, several platinum awards and worldwide hits such as "It Must Have Been Love", "Listen To Your Heart" and "The Look", Roxette had a significant impact on the 1990s. Almost a whole decade after Roxette's last concert, singer, songwriter and founder Per Gessle is bringing the duo's greatest hits back to the stage together with Swedish pop singer Lena Philipsson. Five years have passed since Roxette lost Marie Fredriksson to cancer, a great loss that left family, friends and fans in mourning. But her legacy lives on. This year, Gessle and Philipsson have already delivered unforgettable shows in South Africa and Australia. The energy was electrifying, with over 75,000 people singing along to the iconic anthems, proving the timeless appeal of Roxette's music.

Back To The Roots, "Back To The Boots" - For The BossHoss, the Club Tour 2025 for the album release was a complete success. Now the hip country rock'n'rollers are "On The Road Again" in summer 2026 to tear up festival stages. With their 25th anniversary approaching, Blue are not only releasing a new studio album ("Reflections" - out January 9), but are also going on tour, including to the EXPO grounds. With over 16 million records sold worldwide, ten top 10 singles in the UK and three number 1 albums, Blue are one of the most successful British bands of their generation. Now they are back!

ClockClock have been one of Germany's most exciting pop bands for some time now. Their popularity curve is rising rapidly. With hits such as "Someone Else" (#1), "Sorry" (Gold, #1) and "Love U Again" (#2), the Mannheim-based band have established themselves as pop stars and rotation hits in the German radio charts and on the country's most popular radio stations. After two sold-out headlining tours, one thing is clear: ClockClock are playing at the very top on all levels. At the NDR 2 Plaza Festival, fans can once again look forward to the hits and songs from the successful debut album "Dreamers".

For the first time, advance ticket sales will start tomorrow, Thursday, October 30, 10 a.m., with a PreSale exclusively via eventim.de. Anyone who secures a ticket quickly will automatically be entered into an Early Supporter Lottery for access to the Premium Experience Tent (VIP area). Also new this year: organizer Hannover Concerts is offering limited tickets for various categories (VIP Premium, Early Entry), which are available exclusively via the eventim online store. The general advance sale starts on Monday, November 3, 10 am. Tickets will then be available at www.hannover-concerts.de, www.eventim.de and at the advance booking offices. The tickets entitle the holder to use public transport on the days of the event within the Greater Hannover Transport Authority (GVH) area. Children from 3 to 6 years receive Free admission.
