On Saturday, October 23, 2026, Niklas Paschburg will play a concert between neo-classical and electronic music at 8 pm at Kulturhaus Schwanen Waiblingen. The Hamburg composer, pianist and producer combines piano motifs with synth textures and beat-driven layers to create a sound that triggers a mental movie while still leaving space - precise, warm, close to pop, but without posturing.

Paschburg belongs to the generation that does not defend the piano against the laptop, but thinks of both as one instrument. His pieces often begin with a clear figure, almost like a sketch - and then grow in layers: a pulse that doesn't push forward, but carries; harmonies that open up; textures that linger in the room like light. It can taste like ambient pop, like electronica, like film music - but without a soundtrack gesture. More like a set that turns calm into tension and tension into calm again.

With "Oceanic" (2018), "Svalbard" (2020) and "Panta Rhei" (2023), Paschburg has developed his own dramaturgy: Music as a current that changes without losing the thread. This is precisely why it works in clubs as well as concert halls, in churches as well as small spaces - because it doesn't play for effect, but for proximity, groove and detail. In the Schwanen, this meets a hall that can do both: concentrated listening and this quiet "We're all in the same rhythm now".
