A wild trip through the 80s and 90s
Into the magic ball: hit musical makers Martin Lingnau and Heiko Wohlgemuth are now traveling back to their own youth. "Oberaffengeil" is a wild musical trip through the 80s and 90s, a dazzling spectacle with over 50 iconic songs in a new sound. An indulgence in "That's how it was!" for all those who were there - and an extremely funny journey through time for everyone else.
On a BMX bike without a helmet, at full throttle in a Manta and even on a plane with a fag in your mouth: what a time. Rick Astley meets Gitte, Roxette meets Matthias Reim and the Spice Girls meet the Backstreet Boys, although the first boy band (the one with the three letters) actually comes from Norway - of course they're there too. The aerobics wave sweeps over from the USA and also gets us "Enormously in shape". BRAVO is still paid for in Deutschmarks, cable TV serves up new favorite shows like "Der Preis ist heiß" and "Familienduell" - and juicy fruit on "Tutti Frutti". We are obsessed with the Rubik's Cube, playing Nintendo and finally "Snake" when, thank God, someone finally invents the cell phone. There's acid rain and the Cold War, which we sing against with "Ein bisschen Frieden" until David Hasselhoff finally tears down the German-German wall himself.
Pop gems, NDW and quirky hits, breakdancing and band salads, shoulder pads and Buffalos - for the grand finale, the last century of pop culture goes full throttle once again. "Sing Hallelujah", there are "No Limits" - just super awesome!
