OCEAN STEFAN Blood Show

Three characters, 75 liters of fake blood, an endless battle: BLOOD SHOW is a call to bring the inside out and defend oneself against violent gazes. Two people are locked in a room - trapped in an endless loop of violence, repetition and exhaustion. A ghost directs a fistfight: in an endless loop, a body is repeatedly strangled, brought to the ground and rearranged. What initially seems like a brutally precise pattern of action increasingly tips over into the grotesque and comical, until inside and outside become reversed: Artificial blood becomes a material of resistance against the violence of the gaze and the desire for clearly legible bodies. BLOOD SHOW is a play about the ghosts that accompany you - a trans* celebration of destruction, including of the self: Because in order to be reborn, something has to die.
