Oedipus, the leading candidate of the new political movement, is almost certain to win the election. But why are the circumstances of his predecessor's fatal traffic accident being kept under wraps? And what about the fake news surrounding his origins? Oedipus begins to investigate - despite all the warnings. British director and playwright Robert Icke radically translates a classic play into the present day, as he did in his Schnitzler adaptation "The Doctor". Icke's "Oedipus" looks behind the myth and is both a family tragedy and a political thriller.
