Invented in the 17th century, the magic lantern is considered the direct precursor of cinema and amazed audiences even back then. A student who experiences the magic lantern for the first time in class has a similar experience. Inspired by the magical insights that the magic lantern offered him, he longs to escape the dry theory lessons and experience the worlds depicted in the pictures for real. This musical theater invites the audience to immerse themselves multisensory in the creation of new, poetic worlds!
During the rehearsal visit, you will receive an exclusive French-language introduction from the Laterna artist and film historian Anne Gourdet-Marès and insights into the musical evening that is being created.
