Patricia Colchado: „Los Colores de la Infancia – Die Farben der Kindheit“

Los colores de la infancia (The Colors of Childhood) brings together seven stories in which childhood and adolescence are portrayed as intense and contradictory periods of life. The book deals with abuse, pain and loss, but also with tenderness, longing and love in its most unexpected forms. From the urban heart of Lima to the coasts of Chimbote or the farms in the mountains, these stories delve into worlds where bodies grow up wounded and full of hope, where orchids serve as lucky charms and spinning tops spin like echoes of a possible happiness. With the intimate and poetic voice of her characters, the author creates a universe of memories characterized by fragility and resistance.

The author Patricia Colchado will present her book and read from it. In conversation with the moderator Dr. Anieska Mayea von Rimscha (LMU Munich) , the complex themes of the book will be explored with the Peruvian author.

The event will be held in two languages (German and Spanish).
