I look at the before. Why isn't it dancing? It doesn't listen to my call. It resonates when I sing.

The poetic stage project by Sabine Evangelia Koop and Bassem Alkhouri is dedicated to the fragile presence of staying. After the departure, the finding begins: one's own body becomes layer and memory.

Sabine Evangelia Koop's poems will be read in German, Greek and Arabic. In dialog with Bassem Alkhouri, a trichord is created that connects their biographical lines: The texts tell of the first steps in the new, of "time standing athwart" and of breathing in a foreign language.

Traditional Greek and Arabic songs and the sound of the kanun, played with virtuosity by Bassem Alkhouri, show how musical spaces connect across time.
