PILE
Pile employ jagged guitars, stuttering drum bombast, eerie synths and watery strings, with panoramic production and a loud-quiet dynamic that matches the emotionality of the band's thunderous performances. Pile formed in 2007 as Rick Maguire's solo outlet, which quickly grew into a band and now consists of Maguire, Alex Molini, Kris Kuss
and Matt Connery. With their explosively complex take on heavy music, the band found loyal fans amidst the bustling Boston punk scene. Since then, Pile has released eight highly acclaimed albums, each showcasing different facets of its members' talents.
IDAHO
Idaho, led by singer-songwriter Jeff Martin from Laurel Canyon, are the unsung cult heroes of '90s slowcore. Often ranked alongside post-grunge indie rock pioneers like Low, Songs: Ohia and Codeine, IDAHO is characterized by the desert ambience of frontman Jeff Martin's four-string guitar, which echoes his elegant songcraft in a canyon of alien tones and melancholy feedback.
