Platzfest - Sommerfest auf dem Peter-Zadek-Platz

Between Schwankhalle and Städtische Galerie, between Buntentor and Werdersee, between cultural and residential areas lies Peter-Zadek-Platz. Not many people know its name and quite a few think it is a parking lot. But more and more people are joining forces to redesign this place step by step.

What actually is a square? By definition, a "large flat area (for certain purposes, e.g. events, gatherings)". And this is exactly how we want to use this large flat area in the middle of Buntentor this summer! Specific purpose: A colorful summer festival. Jointly supported by the local cultural venues and neighbors - with and for each other, just as we like it... because the space belongs to all of us!

From concerts to cocktails, from exhibitions to pizza parties, from reading stages to bouncy castles and from flea markets to silent discos - there's a place for everything and everyone here. The program is being developed in cooperation with many users and will be announced here soon. What we can already promise: It's going to be a party!
