Poetry Slam Köpenick

Poetry slam - the modern competition of poetry, comedy and spoken word has made it from a pub format to the big venues and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in recent years.

Since 2019, spoken word artists have been battling it out in Köpenick's legendary freiheit fifteen for the audience's favor and the winner's purse, which is filled by the audience with all kinds of nonsense, valuables and love letters.

The rules? The text must be self-written, there is a time limit and no props or costumes are allowed. Apart from that, anything that makes the stage shake is allowed.
