Potsdamer Tanztage 2026 – Where is everybody?

For his latest creation, Thomas Hauert expands his ensemble to include dancers from an inclusive Belgian dance group for an extraordinary encounter. ZOO and Platform K: two companies with different backgrounds and abilities share the stage. Where is everybody? takes the perspective of people with and without disabilities as its starting point and combines physical presence and direct interaction with the emotional power of music and the complexity of dance improvisation.

In Thomas Hauert's "Choreography of the Unexpected", the piece deliberately reverses familiar perspectives and asks what movements, relationships and images arise when new perspectives set the tone. Music and sounds play a central role: personally selected pieces of music - for example by Hildegard Knef, Maurice Ravel or The Communards - act as a source of energy, an emotional trigger and a motor for movement. Where is everybody? invites us to see community in a new light - as something fragile, sensual, playful and powerfully present.
