After the albums "Am Rest" and "Am Wahn", Tristan Brusch's new coming-of-age album "Am Anfang" is the conclusion of a trilogy. The apparent contradiction in the title can be resolved by taking a look at the new songs. Because in order to grow at all, life needs loss. And that is what his new work is all about. Tristan Brusch addresses the loss of youth, of innocence, of love, possibly even of himself.

His two previous albums have already shown that he is a master of drama without slipping into ridiculousness or even exaggerating too much. Tristan Brusch composes his songs simply on the acoustic guitar, singing, breathing and creating something that is so much bigger than the individual parts. The infinitely beautiful and the infinitely ugly become visible in his songs. In his mixture of performance, text and melody, he shies away from neither the sacred nor the theatrical.
