A year, a street, its people: Robert Seethaler's new novel

The street is not in the center of the city and not at its edge. It is hidden somewhere in between. No visitor would stray there, and yet everything that can happen to people happens there.

One boy is gripped by hunting fever. Another doesn't know what to do with his anger. A florist lives for a man who doesn't even see her. A care home manager watches over her charges and is herself the loneliest of them all. A clergyman is lost to his congregation. Worry shakes the residents, longing drives them out onto the streets at night, love drives them crazy. They have dreams and secrets. Their paths cross daily, but what do they know about each other?

In his new novel, Robert Seethaler weaves their stories into a mosaic of moments - and thus of life itself.
