On April 18, 2026, the new season for climbing and golf enthusiasts will start at Lake Markkleeberg: the climbing park and the adventure golf course will open their doors. Both facilities will initially be open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 noon to 7 pm and on weekends and public holidays from 10 am to 7 pm. Extended opening hours apply in the main season from July 6.
Climbing fun with a view of the lake and a zip wire course
Since its reopening in 2025, the Markkleeberg climbing park has thrilled visitors with three courses at different heights and over 80 varied climbing elements. A special highlight is the breathtaking panoramic view over Lake Markkleeberg all the way to Leipzig. Eight ziplines with lengths between 40 and 52 meters, some of which run over the Adventure Golf course, offer pure adrenaline. The total length of all ziplines is 300 meters. Another experience is the base jump from a height of nine meters. A floating bicycle, a wooden barrel course, slacklines, a seven-metre-high climbing wall, suspension bridges and a bobby car also provide variety on the high ropes course. No previous experience is required - every guest can use the facility depending on their age, size and physical condition. Climbing is possible from the age of six and a minimum height of 1.10 meters.
Prices are staggered according to height level: The lower level costs 16 euros, the lower and middle levels together 20 euros. If you want to use all three levels including the spectacular cable car routes, you pay 30 euros. Discounted early bird tickets are available for online bookings made at least ten days in advance. Information on the offers and how to book can be found at www.kletterparkmarkkleeberg.de.
Adventure mini golf for the whole family
Those who prefer to stay on solid ground will find modern minigolf fun on the Adventure Golf course. The twelve green courses with lengths of up to 25 meters require skill: you have to play around heights, boulders and bridges to get the ball in with as few strokes as possible. The course is particularly suitable for families with children from the age of four and groups. No previous experience is necessary here either.
Adults and young people aged 16 and over pay eight euros to play golf, while a ticket for children aged between five and 15 costs six euros. Children up to the age of four play for free when accompanied by an adult. Discounted early bird tickets are also available for the Adventure Golf course if booked at least ten days before the desired date. Information can be found at www.adventuregolf-markkleeberg.de. You can also book online here.
Group offers for climbing and golfing
Larger groups can also use the climbing park and adventure golf course outside of regular opening hours as part of company events or school trips. Requests can be sent by email to vertrieb@kanupark-markkleeberg.com. There are special offers for school classes, including combinations with the Markkleeberg Canoe Park.
