Samurai Pizza Cats from Castrop-Rauxel have long since ceased to be an insider tip since their first self-released songs. Founded in 2021 by Daniel Haniß (Electric Callboy), Sebastian Fischer and Stefan Buchwald (both ex-Fall Of Gaia), the band quickly gained a loyal fan base thanks to their unique sound and energetic live performances. Since 2021, Stefan Reufer has been the bassist of the band from the Ruhr area and a permanent member of Samurai Pizza Cats. At the end of 2025, Robin Kemper joined the band as a new drummer and brought additional momentum to the combination from Castrop-Rauxel.

Musically, the band moves between metalcore and deathcore with electronic influences, captivating with catchy melodies and powerful guitar riffs. Their songs are characterized by a mixture of biting humour and profound themes, which gives their name, which alludes to a cult anime series, an additional humorous touch.

Samurai Pizza Cats released their first album "YOU'RE HELLCOME" in 2023. The album was released on September 22 and entered the Top 100 of the German album charts.

In January 2024, the band played an almost completely sold-out headlining tour in Germany and Austria. At the beginning of 2025, the band released two new songs, "Superzero" and "Pandastruck", and went on a tour of the same name in March.

In August 25, Samurai Pizza Cats went one better. With the song "Fear No Slice", the band presented themselves in top form and once again showed listeners the unmistakable Samurai Pizza Cats style that makes the band so unique.

The "Samurai Pizza Fest" is already planned for 2026. The band's first own festival will take place on 28.03.26 in Cologne in the Live Music Hall and offers an impressive line-up with From Fall to Spring, STVW and Statefall that will make every music fan's heart beat faster.

Their new album "Press Start" will be released on 27.03.2026 under Century Media Records and, with the previous single releases, sets a sign to provide the stages beyond the country's borders with a good pinch of pizza and chaos.
