Have you heard of Schirrmann's? You'll find this extraordinary Bremen restaurant in Bremen Youth Hostel - in a prime location on the Weser and in the heart of the city. This is where the world meets! This also applies from a culinary point of view: the kitchen serves you an exciting crossover of "international" and "regional". Be sure to try it out!

RICHIE ROS

"Odyssey" Richie Ros' debut album is the result of a life that is less ordinary. Richie Ros' life story is a testament to the human spirit and the cathartic, healing nature of music. Growing up in a state orphanage in the Irish city of Limerick, Richie felt confused as to why his life turned out the way it did.
It was on Richie's 11th birthday that he was finally given his long-awaited guitar by a teacher who taught him his very first song on the guitar: "Johnny Be Goode". To cope with such emotional turmoil, Richie began to write and perform his own songs and he developed his own inner world where his feelings were expressed through music.

Despite the trauma of his early years, Richie refuses to let his past define him. Richie had no control over the events in his life, but the one thing he did have control over was his attitude.
Fate found him: David Odlum, Grammy award-winning producer of The Frames, who, after liking the demo, agreed to produce Richie's debut album "Odyssey" at Black Box Studio in France. The album is aptly titled "Odyssey" - the journey of a young boy who worked against all odds to create his own fairytale. The music in his soul had, as he himself put it, "finally set him free". "Odyssey" was released in May 2019 and Richie Ros has been touring extensively ever since, sharing his songs and stories with the world.

Since August 2024, we have been offering you a special opportunity to do so every second Sunday: at "Schirrmann's Lunch & Music".
You can expect not only delicacies à la carte, our varied buffet, coffee specialties, tea and pastries with a view of the Weser, but also live music from musicians from Bremen and the surrounding area, who round off the afternoon perfectly from 1.00 pm to 3.30 pm. And in the summer months every 4th Friday from 18:30 to 21:30 at sunset on the roof terrace! We look forward to seeing you! Free admission.
