Anyone who has seen Narkose or Die Verlierer in Heidelberg in recent months will also like this band. Raw, loud, without detours. With Sexverbot , the Berlin label Bretford brings another, no less noisy punk band to Carousel. The sound of the Berliners is reminiscent of the punk of past decades, but the lyrics are more topical than many might like.
At the last minute, we get a call from +4917635713990. That's the name of ÖPNV 's new LP, and it's also set to find its fans. Also from the capital, ÖPNV make rudimentary post-punk or electro punk, or rather what do you call these mixtures of single players, drum computers, sharp bass lines and synthesizers like in "Tot am Endgerät"?
Plus: the duo Dustsuck(!)er from Leipzig with post-punk and grunge between seriousness and bullshit.
And because we didn't want to go home right after the last song on a Friday night like this, DJ FFWD plays the finest punk, eggpunk and garage vinyl.

"Sexverbot" is a Berlin punk band. Fast guitar, clear lyrics, unmistakable character. Whether capitalism fever dreams ("Ich bin verliebt"), social coldness and concrete tristesse ("Täglich grüßt die Monarchie"), self-destruction as the only way out ("Der Antagonist") or a middle finger to esoteric disciples ("Mystic Shit") - on "Sexverbot" short, concise, uncompromising songs are presented. Similar to the pioneers of past decades, the album reflects the lack of perspective and anger of a generation. The self-titled debut was produced by Lorenz Szukal (Die Verlierer) and will be released on Bretford records (LP/digital) and Mangel records (tape).

ÖPNV is a four-piece project that delivers a good load of cold post-punk songs with early industrial vibes. The tracks roll through swirling synths/keys, distorted basslines and eclectic electric drums. The whole thing is rounded off by sharply growled vocals - driving, unpredictable and almost bold future music. Every now and then a strange no-wave-like percussion or an almost dying trumpet pushes its way through the sound. Demo & the two LP'S were released on Phantom Records, a label notorious for a lot of synthpunk bands fighting their way through the ruins of the city to get to the surface.

Dustsuck!er: Might break your heart, might be fun. Sound jumps between noise and melody, bullshit and honesty. sometimes soft, sometimes rough. Sometimes even in time.
