Shoot The Cherry - a young ambitious indie rock/pop band from Chemnitz. It was founded in August 2024 and found its origin with singer-songwriter Martin Andreas Kurt Schettler.

M.a.k.s. (guitar, vocals) had already been writing a repertoire of his own songs since 2013 and went looking for "fellow players" in January 2024. In February, Nadine Müller (vocals) and Philipp Bohne (guitar, mandolin, bass) joined them. Together they began to expand the songs with a creative soundscape. In June and August 2024, Julian Christoph (drums) and Christian Baumgartl (bass) completed the band and have been contributing to the creative diversity of the songs ever since. The cross-genre musical origins of the individual band members now find their symbiosis on stage.

The songs mischievously address the various facets of life. Amusing wordplay and emotional depth often require a second listen. Refreshingly honest lyrics, written by life, combine humor with heart and us with our audience. Each song has its own story which, depending on the occasion and time frame, is heard. The music is characterized by a mixture of powerful drums, rocking to melancholic guitar sounds and soft, round bass. In some songs, the mandolin is used with its characteristic, almost bell-like sound. Martin's rough, powerful voice harmonizes with Nadine's delicate vocals. You can bring both your lighter and your dancing shoes to our concerts, because we combine nostalgic moments with energetic and rousing sounds.
