Gereon Rath's last case
A final reunion with Gereon Rath: In "Westend" , Volker Kutscher reveals the last great mystery in his famous crime series. The story takes us back to Berlin in the 1970s - a historian visits Rath, who has grown old, at his retirement home in Westend, but the conversation takes a turn that nobody expected. What really happened back then, after the war in East Berlin?
Volker Kutscher has written the keystone of his series exclusively for Kat Menschik 's favorite book series, in which the two bestsellers "Moabit" (2017, the story of Charly) and "Mitte" (2021, the book for Fritze Thormann) have already been published. Just like these two volumes, "Westend" (Gereon Rath's book) was also stunningly designed and illustrated by Kat Menschik.
The haunting narrative provides a touching insight into the fate of the characters after the war and, with its clever, empathetic perspective, once again condenses the narrative universe that Kutscher's fans appreciate so much. A small, grand finale.
