silent green presents
With silent green Open Lab, we are delighted to be able to establish a new format for young Berlin musicians who are taking their first steps onto the stage - beyond the pressure of expectation or market presentation.
Promoting young talent and revealing artistic processes is very important to us at silent green - and that's exactly what Open Lab is about, which is deliberately not intended as a pure showcase, but as a space of opportunity: for the step into the public eye, for encounters, for resonance and further development.
elisanyhm is a composer, sound artist and DJ based in Berlin. Her work operates at the interface of spoken word and electronic music. She primarily uses FM synthesis, voice, field recordings and everyday sounds to create textural soundscapes. Her practice includes techniques such as highlighting artifacts within sounds or cutting up speech samples. elisanyhm will present a live set of electronic music in combination with vocal samples. This live set is part of a larger artistic research project in which she attempts to compose music according to the logic of refusal.
sexette
Drawing from a year of isolation and chronic illness, sexette creates ambient soundscapes and surreal poetry that oscillate between lullaby and discomfort. Using caossilators, sounds created in the bedroom and random glitches, sexette's work explores longing, illness and the non-linear rhythms of grief. Combining poetic literature with sonic textures, the result is a ghostly, intimate experience that is both fragmented and quietly immersive.
