The Kurpfalz Choir Association is organizing the "Singing Old Town" in Heidelberg for the ninth time this year. 42 choirs with a good 1,500 singers have registered for this special event - from children's and youth choirs to women's and men's choirs and mixed ensembles, reflecting the whole variety of choral music.

In addition to the Old Hall of the theater, the Providenzkirche and the auditorium of the Old University are also among the central venues for this year's event.

After the opening in the theater, visitors can look forward to a varied and entertaining musical round dance every half hour by the participating choirs, which are spread out and perform at various venues in the old town.

For the first time, the choir association is planning a joint singing event for all interested parties - whether experienced singers or simply people who would like to be part of a musical community experience at the closing event.
