In the organizer's words:

SLADEK is a soul band consisting of singer and guitarist David Sladek, bassist Alvis Reid and drummer Raphael Vorraber. With their EP Loveless, released in 2024, the band has redefined their musical vision - inspired by the soul music of the late 1960s.

Together with producer Mathias Garmusch, the Austrian-based trio has created a sound that is honest, personal and timeless. This collaboration not only resulted in a new, consistent production style, but also marked the move towards analog recordings - culminating in the album Things Gotta Change, released in 2025, with songs such as Stranger and Here to Stay.

Live, the band inspires with an intense stage presence and the deep feeling of soul, carried by powerful grooves that invite the audience to sing and dance along. On stage, the trio is supported by Taineh on keyboards and backing vocals and Mathias Garmusch on percussion.

It all began in 2019 with the debut album Daydreamin', on which SLADEK presented their unmistakable mix of catchy R&B melodies and deeply rooted neo-soul - and immediately won over fans and musicians alike.

With subsequent releases in 2021 and 2022 - including the Fabricated Reality EP - the band cemented their reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the scene.

By 2023, the foundation for their new sound had finally emerged - the creative breakthrough that would shape SLADEK's future releases.
