smalltape is the solo project of Berlin-based multi-instrumentalist Philipp Nespital, which blurs the boundaries of progressive rock in a fascinating way. With a unique blend of art rock, jazz and pop, he creates a modern, atmospheric sound - complex, emotional and catchy at the same time.

Four years after the success of The Hungry Heart, smalltape is back with the new album Tangram - an energetic sound journey full of magical moments that Nespital brings to the stage together with his live band.

Together with bassist and singer Alexandra Praet, drummer Mesut Gürsoy, guitarist Flavio De Giusti and saxophonist Omri Abramov, Nespital has thrilled audiences at numerous international concerts and festivals, including Night of the Prog, ProgPower Europe and as support for Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief).

The quintet impresses with its instrumental power, harmonious vocals and impressive improvisations - and transforms every concert into a true "cinema for the ears" (Rock Hard Magazine).
