As part of the SOLOEDITION format, BA Dance students present performative solo works. The choreographies emerge from an intensive phase of practice-based artistic research and deal with personal and socially inscribed experiences. Bodies become sites of memory, attribution, resistance and transformation.
The solos move between intimacy and publicity, between vulnerability and assertion. They deal with questions of identity, body images, desire, care, pain and healing as well as processes of withdrawal, searching and becoming. Contradictory experiences, ambiguity and ambivalence are explored in the choreographic works, and states and relationships are made visible.
The students are accompanied by mentors from the fields of choreography, dance, dramaturgy or performance, who support the development of the respective artistic questions and different approaches to contemporary dance practice in close exchange.
