Soloedition'26 // Studierende des ZZT, Köln

In the organizer's words:

As part of the "Soloedition" format, students in the final year of the BA Dance program present performative solo works. The choreographies emerge from an intensive phase of practice-based artistic research and deal with personal and socially inscribed experiences. Bodies become sites of memory, attribution, resistance and transformation.
The solos move between intimacy and publicity, between vulnerability and assertion. They deal with questions of identity, body images, desire, care, pain and healing as well as processes of withdrawal, searching and becoming.
The students are accompanied by mentors from the fields of choreography, dance, dramaturgy or performance, who support the development of the respective artistic questions and different approaches to contemporary dance practice in close exchange.

afterwards: KOMME WAS WOLLE (short film program)

In collaboration with the Moovy Dance Film Festival, we are showing film solos for the first time. The 30-minute program "Komme was wolle" brings together short films that radiate uncompromisingness, determination and a hunger for life. Part poetic, part painful, part humorous, with youthful passion and the nonchalance of age, these miniatures combine to create a cocktail full of energy.
